The Amazing You!

Sometimes things just hit me and I immediately start writing…this is what happened with this poem. I was driving down the highway and I was thinking about how we get bombarded with so much negativity. As soon as I got to a spot where I could write, I started writing these words. So this is my humble attempt of facing some of that negativity you might hear with a little positivity. Here it is, and it’s called….

The Amazing You

Only you have your eyes

Only you have your nose

Only you have what God gave you from your head to your toes

And although you can’t fully fathom all that he has done

There is an abundance within you that will one day shine through

Then you will see the winner inside to whom you must always remain true

Much Love,

I am a wife, mother of three, poet, author, teacher, and speaker. The first ministry God has given me started at home with my husband of 27 years. We have grown up together and become dear friends over the years. The Lord added three kids to the ministry, Elijah, Nehemiah and Amaziah. They have blessed us beyond measure in so many ways. We pray that we will be examples of the kingdom who they will want to always follow. In addition to family ministry, for the last 20 years I have taught Language Arts in private, public and home school settings. Throughout my years of teaching, God has given me a sincere heart for teachers. Therefore, I am on a divine mission to help the world appreciate and support teachers. It is an honor for me to encourage teachers by using the knowledge, skills, love of poetry, experience as a teacher that the Lord has given and match it with wisdom from the master teacher, Jesus Christ. I had the privilege to express some of this wisdom in my book entitled, “The Unforgettable Teacher’s Journey.” In this book I write about the truth of the miraculous ministry of Jesus to encourage and inspire teachers in their journey. Each chapter paints a beautiful picture of how the journey of a teacher is remarkably similar to the ministry of Jesus. Teachers will be inspired by the eloquently crafted biblical truths as well as the peaceful poetry that is strategically positioned throughout this book. I pray that all that I do, whether in family or public ministry, be a blessing to those who hear it!
